Investigation of The Effect of Solid Lubricant Particle Sizes on Friction and Wear Properties in Friction Composites: An Experimental Case Study with Graphite

Typical lubricants used friction composite are graphite, antimo-ny trisulfide, molybdenum disulfide, copper sulfide, etc. selection suitable for better braking performance an important issue, as may decompose at high temperatures, leading undesirable results. particle size least itself. In this study, effect micro nanoparticle-sized graphite on behavior was investigated experimentally. Two brake lining were prepared containing 10 wt.% nanographite micrographite, produced by powder metallurgy technique. samples have been tested under Assessment Screening Test (FAST). frictional physical properties determined appropriate tests. According test results obtained, nanoparticle compared respects most ideal graphite.
